Audi Tuning A6 C6 3L TFSI On the dyno for ECU Remapping

We offer Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuning packages for the Audi 3.0 TFSI A6 boosting power up to 50% over stock with the appropriate upgrades.

The Audi A6 came with a similar 3.0L Supercharged TFSI as seen in the S4 and S5 and gave excellent performance without the S badge premium.

STAGE 1 PACKAGE DETAILS

Experiencing Stock to Stage 1 power for the first time always puts a smile on the customers face, finally the car is tuned to its true potential and feels like it should. Our Stage 1 Audi tuning package for the Audi A6 3.0 TFSI truly delivers impressive power gains, boosting power output by nearly 50% over stock figures.

Stage 1 tuning of a car refers to a set of modifications that enhance the vehicle’s performance, typically without requiring significant changes to its internal components or a lot of downtime. It gains a noticeable increase in power and driving experience without going overboard with complex upgrades.

Here’s a breakdown of what the MRC Stage 1 Package for the Audi A6 3.0 TFSI includes:

  • In-house developed MRC ECU Stage 1 Remap

The most common part of Stage 1 tuning is adjusting the car’s Engine Control Unit (ECU), which governs the performance parameter settings like air-fuel mixture, ignition timing, and boost levels. This Stage 1 remap is the culmination of months of dedicated work by our highly skilled engineers at MRC Tuning working on a bespoke tune that will optimize these settings to increase power output, torque, and fuel efficiency without requiring any mechanical changes. This is the most cost-effective and non-invasive method to improve performance whilst staying extremely safe but usually producing more power and torque than our competitors whilst maintaining a safer tune.

  • Gearbox Tune

Tuning a Transmission Control Unit (TCU) refers to modifying the software that controls the automatic transmission in a vehicle. The TCU is responsible for shifting gears, controlling torque delivery, and optimizing the performance of the transmission. Just like with engine tuning (ECU), TCU tuning can enhance driving dynamics, performance, and efficiency.

  • Upgraded Air filter

Upgrading to a high-flow air filter or a performance intake system helps the engine get more air, leading to better combustion and more power.
A better intake allows the engine to breathe more freely, improving throttle response and overall performance.

STAGE 2 PACKAGE DETAILS

Stage 2 tuning of a car refers to hardware adjustments like upgraded or larger intercoolers, downpipes, or intake/exhaust modifications. This package will usually boost power output by up to 60% but also the torque figures will increase by up to 35-40% over stock

Here’s a breakdown of what the MRC Stage 2 Package for the Audi A6 3.0 TFSI includes:

  • In-house developed MRC ECU Stage 2 Remap

Building on the Stage 1 tuning package of the ECU this Stage 2 remap will take advantage of the extra hardware upgrades with a more bespoke tune that will optimize the power output and torque whilst staying extremely safe. This map takes into consideration the upgrades and will increase power and torque with the newly available headroom.

  • Upgraded Supercharger Pulley

Upgrading a supercharger pulley is one of the most common ways to increase the performance of a supercharged engine. The pulley is a critical component in the supercharger system because it determines how fast the supercharger spins, which directly impacts the amount of air it can force into the engine.

Engine related FAQ

All tuned Vehicles should be ran on Audi long-life 5W40 oil.

All 2.0L 2.5L and 4L engines should be ran on NGK race plugs once tuned.

Please let us know if service work needs to be added to your estimate

Service Intervals:

  • Oil and filter change once a year or every 10k
  • Major engine service every 2 years or every 20k
  • Transmission (gearbox, haldex, diffs, transfer box) should be done every 3-4 years, every 35k
    • Depending on how the car is driven, if the car is driven hard/ abused etc then these intervals should be cut in half.

Fuel

Please make sure your car arrives with at least half a tank of fuel and is always run on the best fuel, either Tesco 99 Momentum or Shell Vpower

Coilpacks

Please be aware that old coilpacks can fail when running more power, causing a misfire, please make sure you have newest revision coilpacks before booking in, or let us know and we can add these to the estimate and replace on the day.
