The Golf MK8 R and Audi S3 8Y Use the 2L turbocharged, four-cylinder engine. The engine known as the EA888.4

0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) is possible in 4.6 seconds in standard form. Both models have an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

The Golf R is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine (TSI) increased by 20 PS (15 kW; 20 hp) and 40 N⋅m (30 lbf⋅ft) when compared to the Mk7 R.  The S3 model has the same 2.0L petrol engine from the previous generation, producing 310 hp (231 kW) and 400 N⋅m (295 lbf⋅ft) of torque, but this time is only available with an automatic gearbox. Similarly it has reduced cargo space due to the Quattro four-wheel-drive system.

Stage 3 – you should see around 480-530ps 600-700nm

Stage 3 is at your own risk. We will map the car to be as safe and powerful as it can be but increasing the power and torque so far beyond the factory specification means it will need appropriately reduced service intervals and maintenance.

  • All 22+ MK8/ S3’s are unable to have the TCU tuned unless they’re swapping the mechatronic unit over we can price for this if requested.
  • All S3 8Y owners are advised to add extra cooling for the TCU to avoid having gearbox faults. 

We would require a £5,000 deposit to secure parts and booking and for the car to be left with us for 4-7 working days.

Please make sure your car arrives with at least half a tank of fuel and is always run on the best fuel, which in the UK is Tesco 99 Momentum.

Bookings

We require non refundable deposits for all bookings made, if you’re more than half an hour late, try to rearrange within 48 hours or do not show we will keep the deposit, if you are wanting to re book then another deposit will need to be taken.

We also ask that all invoices are paid by BACS before collection.

Engine related FAQ

All tuned Vehicles should be ran on Audi long-life 5W40 oil.

All 2.0L 2.5L and 4L engines should be ran on NGK race plugs once tuned.

Please let us know if service work needs to be added to your estimate

Service Intervals:

  • Oil and filter change once a year or every 10k
  • Major engine service every 2 years or every 20k
  • Transmission (gearbox, haldex, diffs, transfer box) should be done every 3-4 years, every 35k
    • Depending on how the car is driven, if the car is driven hard/ abused etc then these intervals should be cut in half.
